‘A Life in the Islamic Movement’ — a short biography of Dr Kalim Siddiqui

In November 1996, six months after Dr Kalim Siddiquis death in South Africa, the Muslim Institute and the Muslim Parliament of Great Britain jointly hosted a Kalim Siddiqui Memorial Conference in London. A special commemorative biography was issued for the occasion, titled A Life in the Islamic movement: Kalim Siddiqui 1931-1996.

  1. May Allah grant Dr. Kalim Siddiqui Jannah Firdausi. I was very fond his critical and factual writings which truly captured the state of Muslims world at very critical period. But, since his demise, I don’t know what really became of the Muslim Parliament of Britain, I am yet to understand, why. May Allah continue to unite the the Ummah.

    1. Assalam alaikum. Unfortunately the leadership that succeeded Dr Kalim in the Muslim Parliament were unable to sustain it for a number of reasons. It was perhaps a combination of facing a very difficult situation after his death, and some serious errors in approach and leadership.
