Keynote speech by Dr Kalim Siddiqui at the Muslim Institute World Seminar on ‘The Future of the Haramain’.
This was the last of the World Seminars convened by the Muslim Institute in the 1980s. The Muslim Institute had announced in early 1987 that the seminars would be suspended for financial reasons (see here). This seminar was on a smaller scale than previous ones. In the 1990s, a couple of similar events were convened in the name of the Muslim Parliament of Great Britain.
